Role of International Organisation in Democracy

Most of the global institutions are pot properly democratic. From the above points, it is clear that nations are becoming more democratic than they were before, while international organisations are becoming less democratic. In past years, there were two big powers in the world—the USA and the Soviet Union. Competition and conflict between them helped to keep a certain balance in all the global organisations. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union (1991), the US became the only superpower, which severely affects the working of international organisations.
